Artwork and meaning

The artwork was created by indigenous artist Pearl Campbell who wanted to focus on the story and history of Jellugal River.

The river runs through the middle of the piece showing the depth and the different waterways. On the left of the river is the birthing place which shows women and children and the energy around them. On the right is the men fishing with spears and sticks.

The other circles symbolise more meeting places, communities and energies around Jellurgal, with large concentric filling the background and landscape.

Neptune Club has the most beautiful area for volunteering. Meet new friends, be safe with all activities and enjoy relaxing and swimming between the flags.”
